Over the last five years, the joint collaboration between the two agencies, which is called the Vietnam Blended Learning Program, has helped Vietnam’s government agencies and social organizations to better utilize information and communications technologies, contributing to a more skilful, knowledgeable and better connected workforce.

With small grants of up to US$30,000 per project, the Program aims to provide Vietnamese capacity building projects with innovative learning methodology and access to national and international professional networks. In 2011, approximately US$145,000 was awarded to five organizations in order to provide learning opportunities to 150 faculty managers, 140 teachers and 40 specialists and researchers.

In Round 6 of 2012, the two organizations expect to provide similar funding to Vietnamese organizations who have been striving for innovations in their teaching and learning activities and have sufficient capacity to implement their desired projects.
