Online courses on the rise by JACOB LUECKE

More college students take to Internet.
Local colleges and universities are continuing to see increases in the number of students logging in for online courses, a practice becoming more and more integrated into mainstream higher education.
The University of Missouri-Columbia, which started its online program in 1999, now has about 4,500 students taking classes over the Internet.
Today, online MU students can pick from about 35 degrees and even pursue a doctorate in architectural studies.
